About

The son of a grocer and an artist, Kildare Curtis was raised in various small towns and outposts in the Canadian arctic and prairies.

His Father’s talent for creating elaborate produce displays and his Mother’s painting and textile work informed Kildare’s love of design at an early age. His four older sibling’s hand-me-down clothes and winter nights spent at the library watching old movies probably helped as well.

After a move to the West Coast, and many years as a dealer in vintage clothing, Kildare founded Eugene Choo Clothing in 2000.
